Aether is a premium, local-first download manager that lives in your browser sidebar. It turns direct files, adaptive streams, magnets, and NZBs into one clear queue — with multi-connection speed when servers allow it, and a polished UI built for power users who still want calm.

Faster direct downloads
When a host supports HTTP Range requests, Aether splits large files into parallel connections, tracks progress, health, and ETA, and can intercept browser downloads so acceleration starts automatically. If a host doesn’t support ranges, the normal browser download still works.

Capture media from the page
Harvest images, videos, documents, and detected HLS/DASH streams from the current tab. Pick quality, batch-save with filename templates, or record live streams with pause, resume, and save.

Torrents & Usenet handoff
Detect magnet links and NZBs on pages. Send magnets to debrid or local clients (Real-Debrid, TorBox, Premiumize, AllDebrid, RDT Client, and more). Send NZBs to SABnzbd.

Smart rules & automation
Per-site folders and filenames, conflict handling, stream defaults, vault-style temporary downloads, bandwidth profiles, speed schedules, focus-mode throttling, retries, and optional webhooks or WebDAV notify when a download finishes.

History & insights
Active queue, history, collections, vault, checksums, and local analytics — without an account.

• Or right-click a link → Download with Aether

Privacy
Aether is local-first. Queue, rules, and history stay on your device. Optional services (debrid, SABnzbd, webhooks, VirusTotal) only run when you add credentials or URLs. No account required for the core manager.

Requirements
Desktop only — not designed for mobile.

Downloads (manage and accelerate saves); storage (preferences and history); tabs/host access (harvest and CDN segments); clipboard (optional paste flows); notifications (optional alerts).
