Ape Law VASP Verify checks the website in the active browser tab against the reviewed domains in the Ape Law UAE VASP Licence Tracker. It is available for Chrome and Firefox.


The extension reads tab URLs locally so it can check each hostname and switch the toolbar icon to the green match state automatically. This occurs on the user's device in both Chrome and Firefox.

The active hostname is not:

• sent to Ape Law or any third party;
• retained after the popup closes;
• added to browsing history maintained by the extension; or
• used for advertising, profiling, analytics or sale.

The extension does not read page content, form data, credentials, cookies or downloads. It uses each tab URL only for the local match indicator and popup check. It does not build or retain a browsing-history record.


The extension can download a public tracker-data file from https://tracker.ape.law.

The request does not include the hostname being checked. As with an ordinary web request, Ape Law's hosting and security providers may process an IP address, browser information, request time and the fixed file path to deliver and protect the service.

Chrome periodically checks for an updated tracker file. In Firefox, this network request occurs only if the user allows optional technical data transmission through Firefox's Permissions and Data controls.

If the user declines or later disables that permission, Firefox does not contact the tracker endpoint and the extension continues operating with its bundled tracker snapshot.

The browser stores valid tracker data on the user's device so checks are quick and can continue when the tracker is temporarily unavailable. The tracker file contains public regulatory and company information, not information about the user.


Ape Law VASP Verify does not sell personal data or share browsing activity.

The extension has no advertising software, tracking software or user account. The browser replaces the locally stored tracker file when a newer valid file is downloaded and removes extension storage when the extension is uninstalled.

Information received from browser APIs is used only to provide the extension's website-checking functionality.

For Firefox, the optional technical and interaction data declaration covers ordinary request information involved in downloading the fixed tracker file. It does not cover the checked hostname because that hostname is not transmitted.


The extension helps users check whether a website has been linked to an entity in the Ape Law UAE VASP Licence Tracker.

A match is general information only. It is not an endorsement, legal advice, regulatory confirmation or proof that every service on the website is authorised.

A missing match does not mean that a website or its operator is unlicensed. Records and website associations may change, and authorisations may be restricted by legal entity, activity, jurisdiction, condition or effective date.
