BABAV Compose — Privacy Policy

BABAV Compose is a browser add-on that writes draft replies in your own voice inside message boxes, and tidies text you typed when you press Tab. It is made by BABAV (babav.co).

WHEN IT RUNS
Compose does nothing on a page until you press its ✦ tab beside a message box, your draft hotkey, or Tab in a message box. It never writes or sends anything on its own.

WHAT IT READS AND SENDS
Only when you ask for a draft or a tidy-up, Compose reads:
• the conversation you are replying to (the messages visible in that thread, and who wrote them), and
• the text you have typed in that box.
It sends this, with your BABAV connection key, over an encrypted connection to your own BABAV account, which writes the draft and sends it back. The draft is placed in the box for you to edit, send or discard. Nothing is sent to anyone else.

WHAT IT STORES
In your browser: your connection key, brand name, on/off switches, voice choice and hotkey.
In your BABAV account: the drafts you asked for and how you changed them, so Compose can learn how you write. You can see how much it has learned and erase it any time in Settings.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES
• It is switched off entirely on banking, financial, health and government sites.
• It never touches password, email, phone, address or search fields.
• It does not track your browsing, log your keystrokes, show ads, or sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• It never sends a message for you. Auto-send is off by default.

YOUR CHOICES
Turn Compose off any time from its popup, or remove the add-on. Deleting your BABAV account deletes everything stored in it, including what Compose learned (see babav.co/data-deletion).
