Google got noisier. A huge share of what now ranks was generated after 2023 — thin AI-written articles, rewritten listicles, pages built for the crawler rather than for you.

Google already has a fix built in: the before: operator. Typing "before:2023" at the end of a query hides everything published since. The problem is remembering to type it, every single time.

Before 2023 types it for you.

HOW IT WORKS

Search Google normally. The extension appends before:2023 to your query and the results page loads already filtered. You never see an extra step — the query in the search box just has the operator on the end, where you can edit or delete it like any other text.

Flip it off from the toolbar whenever you actually want current results. The button shows an "OFF" badge so you always know which mode you're in, and the choice is remembered.

PRIVACY
