Best Student Canvas is a set of upgrades for Canvas LMS, built by a teacher for students. It changes how Canvas looks and adds the things students keep wishing it had — all inside your own browser, using the Canvas login you already have.

Look
• Fourteen built-in themes, light and dark, every one contrast-checked
• Dark mode that follows your system, or switches on a schedule you set
• Build up to eight themes of your own and share them with a short code
• Seven type pairings, including Atkinson Hyperlegible for low vision, plus any Google Font or a font file from your own computer
• Text size, corner rounding, and comfortable or compact spacing

Dashboard
• Your current grade on every course card — letter, percent, or both
• Grades at a glance: GPA as one number with a bar per course
• Color, gradient, or your own picture on every card
• Drag cards into the order you want; hide the courses that never end
• Sticky notes in six colors, right on the dashboard

What's due
• One list across every course, grouped by day, overdue pulled to the top
• Add your own tasks with a due date and a priority

Reminders

Your data stays yours
Best Student Canvas has no server. It reads Canvas through your own session and only ever reads — it cannot submit work, change a grade, or post anything. Your settings and notes stay in your browser. The one thing it ever sends anywhere is your license key and a random device id, to the payment provider, to confirm your purchase. How to get started
Best Student Canvas is a paid extension. Buy a license key at https://ndstudio.lemonsqueezy.com/checkout/buy/b1bcc3ea-78fb-4b04-be6a-46b08aa75724 yours to keep), install the extension, open Settings, paste the key, and any Canvas tab you have open switches on by itself. Works offline for two weeks between checks. Deactivate a device any time to move your key to another computer.

Works on any Canvas site at .instructure.com or .canvaslms.com. Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers version 111 or newer.
