Privacy:
Blocking Sites is designed with privacy in mind. Your settings, blocked websites and preferences remain on your device. The extension does not require an account, does not upload your data to external servers and does not collect your browsing history.
Where it works:
Blocking Sites works on most normal websites. Like all browser extensions, it cannot run on certain browser-protected pages such as about:*, the Firefox New Tab page, Add-ons Manager, Settings pages and other restricted browser pages. These limitations are imposed by Firefox itself.
Why I built it:
I built Blocking Sites because many website blockers felt cluttered, overly complicated or focused on collecting user data. My goal was to create a blocker that is simple, dependable and pleasant to use, while giving users precise control over what distracts them online.
