Bolt Download Manager is a free, open-source download accelerator built with Rust for speed and reliability.

Features:
- Automatically intercepts browser downloads and sends them to Bolt
- Multi-segment downloading for faster speeds
- Pause, resume, and retry downloads
- Download scheduling with configurable time windows
- Proxy support (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5)
- File categorization and download history
- System tray integration with autostart
- Works alongside the Bolt desktop app via native messaging

Requirements:
- Bolt desktop application must be installed (bolt.dasunnimantha.com)

The extension communicates with the Bolt desktop app through native messaging. All processing happens locally — no data is sent to external servers.
