Bynji is a private, local-first browser extension that automatically remembers video progress and viewing history across web video players. Leave a video, return later, and pick up right where you left off with a single click. No ads. No accounts.
WHAT BYNJI DOES
• Automatically tracks meaningful playback across web video players
• Remembers exact timestamps and offers safe Resume points
• Keeps your current shows and movies front and center with Continue Watching
• Supports Ask, Never, and Auto-resume playback modes
• Organizes viewing history into a clean, searchable, on-device Library
• Save web videos to Watch Later with a single click
• Generates on-device viewing insights and summaries
• Supports optional multi-viewer profiles with private custom avatars
• Supports optional multi-device Local Sync using your own local folder

• 100% on-device storage in your browser (IndexedDB)
• No ads, no user accounts, and no logins
• Zero telemetry, zero analytics, and zero external tracking scripts
• No central developer servers holding your personal viewing data
• Export your full watch history at any time as portable JSON or Markdown

• webNavigation: Detects when you navigate to or refresh a video page so Bynji can show the Resume prompt accurately.
• host permissions (http:///, https:///): Required to detect HTML5 video players across web video platforms. Bynji does not inject ads, modify web content, or transmit your browsing data.

Bynji is 100% private, local-first video progress tracking and viewing history. All data is stored exclusively on your device in IndexedDB, with optional local directory synchronization via the browser File System Access API. Zero telemetry, zero external tracking, and zero ads.
