- Helps mask nearby chatter when used with headphones, but is not active noise cancellation and does not remove real-world sound by itself.
- The music may not be as enjoyable as regular playback, but it shouldn't be too distracting and should fade into the background along with the chatter.
- Manual left/right gain.
- Independent periodic left/right gain randomisation.
- Buffered chunked left/right speed variation.
- Independent silent gap chunks, default 50% per channel/chunk.
- Drift correction and hard repair limits to avoid runaway L/R separation.
- Processes HTML media elements only.
- Does not capture every possible tab sound source.
- Does not process WebAudio-only sites unless their audio is ultimately exposed through an <audio> or <video> element.
- Cross-origin iframes and DRM/protected media may fail or be inaccessible.
- Once a media element has been connected to Web Audio, bypass mode routes it through the AudioContext rather than restoring Firefox's original internal path. Reload the page for a completely clean reset.
