关于此扩展
Chronicle is a historian in your sidebar.
Chronicle requires a one-time licence, purchased at
businesschronicleai.github.io. Installing this extension on its own will not
give you a working historian.
Ask about any period, any continent, from the price of bread in Roman Egypt to
why the Bronze Age collapsed. Chronicle answers in flowing prose rather than
bullet points, and reads it aloud in a voice you choose.
What it does
About accuracy
Chronicle is powered by a language model, and language models get things
wrong. Its instructions tell it to separate evidence from consensus from
legend, never to invent a citation or a quotation, and to say plainly when a
question falls outside what it knows. It follows those instructions well, but
not perfectly. Chronicle is a fine way to begin an enquiry and a poor way to
end one. Verify anything you intend to cite.
Privacy
Conversations are stored locally in your browser. The text is sent to xAI to
generate replies and speech. Page reading is off by default and asks your
permission. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.

What it does
- Answers like a scholar talking to you across a table, not like a textbook
- Reads answers aloud in 26 voices across 60 languages
- Reads the page you're on, if you switch that on, so you can ask about an
article without pasting it - Reads images. Upload a photograph of an inscription, a coin, a manuscript
page or a painting, and Chronicle transcribes what it can actually see
before interpreting it, using the bracket conventions a working epigrapher
would recognise, and says plainly which letters it cannot make out - Keeps conversations in your own browser storage, not on a server
