ClarifyTube strictly respects user privacy. The extension does not collect, track, or share any personal information, browsing history, YouTube video URLs, or prompt contents.

All API keys, notes, study notebooks, and image data are stored entirely locally on your device within your browser's IndexedDB storage. API requests are transmitted directly from your client browser to the third-party AI provider of your choice (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) using your own API credentials.

To understand active user counts and improve the tool, the extension transmits a minimal anonymous daily ping to a secure Supabase database containing an ephemeral random client UUID, extension version, and browser name. No IP addresses, prompts, video titles, or personally identifiable information are associated with this counter.
