关于此扩展
Copy and paste hasn't changed in decades, and the real process is longer than most people give it credit for.
  • Highlight what you want — click, drag, release.
  • Copy it — right-click and select, or Ctrl+C.
  • Switch to the window where your notes live.
  • Find the spot where it needs to go.
  • Paste — right-click and select, or Ctrl+V.

Five separate steps, minimum, to move one sentence from one place to another.

None of that sounds like much on its own. Call it ten seconds when everything goes smoothly, more like twenty when you have to hunt for the right window or scroll around to find your spot. But that's only the cost of doing it once. Anyone who's ever put together a research summary, a report, or a set of study notes has run that exact five-step sequence dozens or hundreds of times in a single sitting. At even the fastest end — ten seconds, a hundred times — that's still close to 20 minutes spent on nothing but highlighting, switching, and pasting.

Click-to-Paste is the update that interaction never got.
  • Click once to mark where you start.
  • Hover to highlight naturally as you read.
  • Click again — and it's already saved exactly where it needs to be.

What used to take five steps across two windows now takes two clicks in the one you're already reading, whether that's the page itself or text inside an embedded frame — if you can read it, you can grab it.

Do you ever find yourself with your notes open in one window, an article you're actually reading in another, and your attention bouncing between the two the entire time? Something like this:
  • Alt-tab between windows.
  • Scroll to find where you left off.
  • Type or paste it into place.
  • Reverse it all to get back to reading.

Repeat that for every single thing worth capturing, and most of your "reading" time isn't spent reading at all — it's spent switching windows and re-finding your place, for something that should take about a second.

Click-to-Paste skips the second window entirely. A small floating navigator that easily fits out of view of the article, showing you exactly where your cursor sits inside your notes — down to the section and line — so you can move it, switch on formatting, and route captured text to that exact spot without the editor ever opening. Capture ten things from ten different articles into ten different parts of the same note, and the notebook window never opens.

That screenless control only works because your notes aren't one long wall of text underneath it — they're built from structured sections and lines, each one its own addressable spot. It's what turns "paste it somewhere" into "paste it exactly where I meant."

Click-to-Paste is deliberately lean: no clutter, no forty-button toolbar, no features you'll never touch. Just the fastest path from "I want to remember this" to "it's saved" — so your reading never stops.
