Clip Library turns YouTube moments into a searchable, taggable library.

This add-on puts a button in the YouTube player's control bar. One click saves the moment you are watching to your Clip Library account, where you add tags and a note. Clips you already saved appear as markers on the video's timeline, and the toolbar icon shows how many clips you have for the video you are on.

What it does
• Adds a save button to the player controls, on watch pages and in embedded players.
• Marks your existing clips on the video's timeline.
• Shows the clips you have for the current video in a popup, with their tags and notes.
• Opens your library's add-clip form pre-filled with the video and timestamp.

What it needs
• A free Clip Library account at https://youtube-clip-library.vercel.app
• Firefox 140 or newer.

In the library itself you can group tags, tag whole videos, filter by any combination of them, and replay a clip with one click. The add-on enables creating and tagging clips without leaving the page where you're viewing the video.

The add-on talks to nothing except your own Clip Library instance. No analytics, no third-party services, no data sold or shared. You can point it at a different instance from its options page.
