Clipboard Text Cleaner is a lightweight Firefox extension for cleaning text copied from AI Studio and other web pages before it is pasted into LibreOffice Writer, Word, or another editor.

It:

• removes source HTML formatting, fonts, colors, links, and other rich-text styling;
• handles both normal text selection and “Copy as text” buttons;
• joins visual line wraps produced by programmatic copy into spaces;
• preserves intentional blank lines as paragraph boundaries;
• removes non-breaking spaces, soft hyphens, and invisible copy artifacts.

The extension writes clean plain text and minimal paragraph-only HTML. This helps LibreOffice create normal paragraphs instead of importing a manual ↵ line break after every visual line.

All processing happens locally. Clipboard text is never sent to a server. The extension has no analytics, account system, remote code, or external dependencies.

Permissions:

• Storage: saves local preferences.
• Access your data for all websites: required to process copy operations on web pages. The extension does not read the old clipboard and does not make network requests.
