Chasing the reverse rainbow badge in NYT Connections? Connections Companion helps you plan the whole puzzle before spending a single guess.

Instead of submitting groups one at a time and hoping you remember the right order, you bank all four groups up front and let the extension submit them for you — automatically, in reverse rainbow order: Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Select 4 tiles on the board, then click a color swatch in the Companion panel to bank them as your guess for that color. Banked tiles get a colored outline so you can see your plan at a glance.
2. Repeat for all four colors (or fewer — partial plans work too).
3. Hit "Submit in reverse" and watch. The extension selects and submits each group in Purple → Blue → Green → Yellow order, waiting for the game to confirm each result before continuing.

NEVER WASTE A GUESS

If any submission comes back wrong, the run stops instantly. The offending group is highlighted in red, the panel shows the game's feedback ("One away…") and how many mistakes you have left. Reset just that group, rework it, and submit again — groups you already solved are skipped.

If a group solves but turns out to be a different color than you predicted, the panel tells you which color it actually was, so you know whether the reverse rainbow is still alive.
