It works. You need to click on a emoji, it will add the image link into your clipboard, just paste it into the chat.
The extension should have inserted `[.](https link to your emoji image)` into your clipboard, there is no visual indicator to show you when a emoji is copied inside the clipboard but feel free to contribute on the github if you want this feature.
