PRIVACY POLICY - Email Notifier for Yahoo

SUMMARY

This add-on does not read your email. It detects new mail by reading the
unread count that Yahoo displays in the browser tab title. It does not
collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The only network
requests it makes are to ExtensionPay, to check whether your copy has been
activated.

WHAT THE ADD-ON READS

While Yahoo Mail is open, the add-on reads the title of that browser tab.
Yahoo shows your unread count there, in a form such as:

(12 unread) - you@yahoo.com - Yahoo Mail


The add-on extracts only the number. When that number increases, it plays an
alert sound and shows a stop button on the page. The title is read and
immediately discarded. It is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

WHAT THE ADD-ON DOES NOT ACCESS

• The contents of your emails
• Subject lines, senders, recipients, or attachments
• Your contacts or address book
• Your email address, name, or account details
• Your password or login credentials
• Your browsing history or activity on any other website

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

• Your chosen alert duration, in seconds.
• A license key issued by ExtensionPay, used to confirm the add-on has been
  activated.

Both are stored using the browser's extension storage. If you have Firefox
Sync enabled, Firefox may sync the alert duration across your own devices
through your Firefox account. That transfer is handled entirely by Firefox;
the developer has no access to it.

Removing the add-on deletes this data.

PAYMENT AND ACTIVATION

This add-on uses ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) to handle activation and
payment. To check whether your copy is activated, the add-on sends its
license key to extensionpay.com. No information about your email, your
Yahoo account, or your browsing is included in these requests.

If you choose to purchase, payment is completed on ExtensionPay's website
using Stripe. Any details you enter there - such as your email address and
payment information - are collected by ExtensionPay and Stripe under their
own privacy policies, not by this add-on. The developer does not receive or
store your payment details.

OTHER NETWORK ACTIVITY

There is none. The add-on contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising
code, and no remote code. Apart from the ExtensionPay license check described
above, it makes no network requests.

THIRD PARTIES

No data is sold or transferred to third parties. Data is not used for any
purpose unrelated to the add-on's single function, and is not used to
determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

PERMISSIONS

• Access to mail.yahoo.com: required to read the tab title, play the alert,
  and show the stop button. The browser describes this as permission to read
  and change data on the site, which is its standard wording for any add-on
  that runs on a page. This add-on only reads the title and only adds its own
  stop button.
• Access to extensionpay.com: required for activation and payment.
• Storage: required to remember your alert duration and license key.

CHILDREN

This add-on is not directed at children and collects no information from
anyone, including children under 13.

CHANGES

If the add-on's behavior changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy
will be updated and the date above revised.
