pCloud has no favourites feature. This adds one.

A star appears in the corner of every photo tile in the pCloud web app. Click it and the photo is starred; open the Favourites gallery — from the toolbar button or the floating button in any pCloud view — to see only your starred photos, with search, sorting and a keyboard-driven lightbox.

Your favourites are not stored on anyone else's server. They live in your own pCloud drive as a plain JSON file at /.favorites/favorites.json, so they survive a reinstall, sync between your own browsers through pCloud itself, and stay readable by anything else you care to write. pCloud hides dot-prefixed folders in its web UI, which is why you will not see that file while browsing — that is deliberate, and a setting lets you choose a visible folder instead.

What it needs, and why:

It reads the pCloud session token from your own logged-in pCloud tab, so you never type a password into the extension.
It talks only to pCloud's API, using your account.
There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no server belonging to the author.
Works with the pCloud web app on my.pcloud.com, e.pcloud.com and e1.pcloud.com (both the US and EU data centres). The pCloud desktop and mobile apps cannot be extended, so favourites are visible in the browser only.
