Take control of your feed.

Feed Shield for Facebook gives you simple, reversible controls for ads and selected suggestion content on the Facebook Home feed. Open the extension popup to choose what stays visible, see current-session and all-time hidden-post totals, and view an estimated time saved.

Features:

• Hide feed posts marked Follow or Join.
• Hide posts marked Ad or Sponsored by default.
• Hide suggested-user sections.
• Hide recommended-group sections.
• See live session totals and per-filter counters.
• See an all-time local post total and estimated time saved at eight seconds per hidden post.
• Turn any visible filter off to restore content without reloading the page.
• Limit filtering to the Facebook Home feed.

Feed Shield for Facebook changes page presentation only. It does not follow accounts, join groups, leave groups, report posts, or delete content.

Privacy: Filtering happens locally in Firefox. The extension stores filter preferences, an aggregate hidden-post count, and temporary per-tab page-session count high-water values in storage.local. It does not store Facebook post content or identifiers and does not transmit, collect, sell, or store data outside local extension storage. It contains no analytics, advertising, remote code, or extension-originated network requests.

Current label mappings include English, Georgian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish Facebook interfaces. Facebook interface changes may affect filtering.

Desktop Firefox 140 or later is supported. Mobile browsers are not supported.
