Fraud Monitor catches scams two ways: it blocks sites on our known-fraud list before your browser connects to them, and it gives you a scanner for anything else you are unsure about.

WHAT IT BLOCKS ON ITS OWN

Phishing pages, crypto and investment scams, pig butchering (the "wrong number" romance and trading setups), fake customer support and imposter brand sites, and known malicious links. When one is recognized you get a warning page instead of the scam.

WHAT YOU CAN CHECK YOURSELF

Pin the blue Fraud Monitor shield to your toolbar, or open it in the sidebar for a larger view, and check:

• Text - paste a message, listing, email or DM
• Links - check a URL before you click it
• Phone numbers - spot known scam call centers and spoofed numbers
• Images - screenshots, QR codes and profile photos

You can also select text on any page, right-click, and send it straight to Fraud Monitor.

HOW IT TREATS YOUR BROWSING

The scam-site list is compressed and stored on your own machine, so checking a page is a local lookup that sends nothing. Only when a site matches that local list do we confirm it with our server. Your ordinary browsing never leaves your device.

Access to all websites is an optional permission, not a required one. Fraud Monitor works without it. Granting it lets us stop a scam site before the connection is made, rather than warning you once the page has already started loading. You can turn it on or off whenever you like.

There is no account to create and no password to remember.

WHEN WE GET IT WRONG

Detection uses machine learning, and machine learning is not perfect. If we flag something harmless, or miss something we should have caught, tell us and we will look at it. Your reports are how the model gets better.
