Gmail Attachment Gallery Privacy Policy

Gmail Attachment Gallery helps users view and download attachments from Gmail conversations they select.

Gmail access

The extension requests Google’s gmail.readonly permission. This permission technically allows read-only access to the user’s Gmail mailbox. The extension uses it only to:

• Verify the connected Gmail account
• Retrieve the specific conversations selected by the user
• Display attachment information from those conversations
• Retrieve attachment files when the user requests a preview or download

The extension cannot send, delete, label, modify, or mark emails as read.

Data collection and sharing

The extension developer does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share users’ emails, attachments, account information, or browsing activity.

There are no analytics, advertisements, tracking services, AI services, or developer-operated servers.

Google receives the authorization requests and Gmail API requests necessary to provide the extension’s features. Email and attachment data is transferred directly between Google and the user’s browser.

Local and temporary data

The extension temporarily stores selected Gmail conversation IDs and an account email hint in Firefox’s extension session storage. These are used to open the gallery for the conversations selected by the user.

Google access tokens, expiration information, and the verified Gmail address are stored in Firefox’s in-memory extension session storage. They are not written to permanent disk storage and are cleared when they expire, when Firefox closes, when the extension is removed, or when the user clicks Disconnect.

Attachment information is displayed only in the open gallery tab. Closing the gallery tab clears the displayed list from browser memory. The original emails and attachments remain unchanged in Gmail.

Downloads

Files downloaded by the user are saved through Firefox’s normal download system. Downloaded files and Firefox’s download history are controlled by the user and Firefox.

Automatic image filtering

The extension may temporarily hide small inline images that strongly resemble email-signature graphics or social-media icons. This filtering happens locally in the browser. Users can reveal any hidden image. Nothing is deleted or modified in Gmail.

Third-party services

Google authentication and Gmail access are provided by Google and are subject to Google’s own privacy policies and account controls.

Data security

The extension uses encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with Google. It does not include a Google client secret or refresh token. Access is read-only and can be revoked by clicking Disconnect or through the user’s Google Account third-party connection settings.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension’s features or data practices change. Any updated policy will describe the current behavior of the extension.
