Gmail Thread Notes lets you attach private sticky notes directly to your email threads — perfect for jotting down context, reminders, or follow-ups without cluttering your inbox or sending yourself another email.
Per-thread notes — Click the note icon next to any subject line to add a note. It reappears every time you open that thread.
6 color themes — Organize visually with yellow, blue, green, rose, lavender, or neutral notes, chosen per note.
Markdown formatting — Use bold, italic, and links in your notes, with handy keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+K, Ctrl+Enter to save).
Quick copy-link — Copy a direct link to any thread with one click, great for sharing or referencing later.
Note manager — Click the toolbar icon to see every saved note at a glance, with subject and preview, and clean up any you no longer need.
Syncs across devices — Notes travel with your Google account via browser sync storage.
Dark mode support — Switch between light or dark theme.
Private by design — Notes are stored only in your own browser sync storage. Nothing is sent to any third-party server, and the extension requests no permissions beyond local/sync storage.
