GPTChatDownloader lets you export your ChatGPT conversations quickly and reliably — as Markdown or plain text, copied to your clipboard, or saved directly to a GitHub repository.

Why GPTChatDownloader

ChatGPT doesn't make it easy to save or archive your conversations in a clean, readable format. GPTChatDownloader reconstructs the actual conversation thread — correctly handling edited messages and branching — and exports it in a format you can actually use.

Privacy

GPTChatDownloader only accesses the conversation open in your current ChatGPT tab, and only when you choose to export or copy it. No conversation data is sent to any server operated by the developer. GitHub integration is fully optional.
