Haven Zip opens archives the way a desktop tool does, without installing one and without uploading your files anywhere. Everything runs in your browser with WebAssembly.
Privacy: the extension never contacts a server. Files are processed on your device; the optional host permission is only used to fetch an archive you right-clicked.
- Click the toolbar icon: Open & extract, Create ZIP / 7z, Convert.
- Right-click any archive link → "Open this archive in Haven Zip". Turn on "Auto-open archives" once and the file opens already loaded (you grant access on demand; nothing leaves your browser).
- Formats: ZIP, RAR (v4/v5), 7z, TAR, TAR.GZ/XZ/BZ2/ZST, GZ, XZ, BZ2, ZST, ISO, DMG, CAB, WIM, DEB, RPM, MSI, APK, JAR, DOCX/XLSX/PPTX, EPUB, CPIO, XAR, ARJ, LHA and more.
- Create ZIP, 7z (AES-256, split volumes), TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.XZ, TAR.BZ2, GZIP, XZ, BZIP2.
