- This extension has engaged in Fraud and Theft (Youtube: MegaLag - Exposing the Honey Influencer Scam) and it has been reported to Mozilla. Mozilla has yet to take down the extension. (It's only been a day but frankly I expect some really fast turnaround on valid reports for extensions with this many users)

Does not actually search for the best coupons, but pretends to, or gives you coupons with lower discounts than others. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13608477, 1 年前

- If you have it installed, any affiliate link you click on, be it from your favorite blog, content creator, influencer etc. to buy a product you like, the commission that would otherwise go to that content creator, will be hijacked by Honey and it will go into the pocket of PayPal (the owners of this extension), instead of the creator who recommended you the product. This is done at the checkout when Honey scans for coupons, and regardless if it finds one for you or not, the hijacking still happens.
Honey also works with online stores to give you a lower value discounts than you would find for yourself after a brief search online. The store saves money because Honey provides people with low discount coupon codes, and not the higher discount ones they may easily find online, and Honey gets a cut.
Honey doesnt give you the best discount code available, in fact its part of their business model not to give you the best deal.
If you ever hear of an extension called "Pie" - its made by the same people as Honey, its just an adblocker + Honey combined - basically a middle man that takes a cut from both both parties while providing nothing of value (you can get an adblocker for free elsewhere).
In short, avoid this scam as it damages both content creators and you as a consumer. Better value coupon codes can be found manually with little effort.
