ImageSEO Inspector is a browser extension that audits image SEO, accessibility, and technical image issues on web pages. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles data.

Data We Do Not Collect

ImageSEO Inspector does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension does not require user accounts, does not ask for personal information, and does not communicate with any external server.

Local Data Processing

All image analysis is performed locally in the user's browser. When a user scans a page, the extension reads image elements (alt text, dimensions, format, loading attributes) from the page content. This data is processed in memory and displayed in the side panel. It is never sent to any server.

Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally in the browser using chrome.storage.local:
- User preferences (scan settings, display options)
- Scan history (page URL, title, image count, scores)

This data never leaves the browser. Users can clear scan history at any time from the extension's History tab. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.

No Tracking

The extension does not use analytics, does not track user behavior, does not monitor browsing activity, and does not send any data to third parties.

No Remote Code

The extension contains no remote code. All scripts are bundled within the extension package.
