JobTrail Privacy Policy (last updated July 9, 2026)

JobTrail is designed so that your data never leaves your device.

What we collect: nothing. JobTrail has no server, no analytics, no accounts, and no tracking of any kind.

What is stored, and where: job postings you explicitly save (title, company, location, salary, URL, status, and your notes) are stored locally in your browser using the extension storage API. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted if you uninstall the extension.

Page access: JobTrail reads the contents of a web page only when you click the extension icon, and only to pre-fill the job title, company, location, and salary fields of the save form. It does not access any page in the background.

Third parties: JobTrail sends no data to third parties, because it sends no data anywhere.
