Privacy Policy — JSON Editor (SSEM DEV)
Effective: September 30, 2026
Full policy: https://levelupsoft.com/ext-ssem-json-editor/en/privacy.html

Summary
- JSON Editor does not collect personal information. There is no account, analytics, advertising or tracking, and nothing is sent to the developer.
- Permission: "storage" only.
- Stored only in your browser, on your device: the document you are editing, the names of recently opened files, JSON Schema settings, indentation, panel position and dark mode. Removing the extension deletes this data.
- Open URL: when you choose to open a URL, your browser downloads it directly from that server, which (as with any web request) can see your IP address and browser information.
- The "Save online" menu is a leftover from the original project. The developer runs no server for it and stores nothing. It will be removed in the next update; please use Save > Save to disk.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties.
