1) Overview

Julaing Mouse Gestures lets you control web pages with right-click drag gestures.

You can use gestures for common browser actions such as navigating back or forward, switching tabs, scrolling, closing tabs, opening links, copying selected text, and saving images.

The extension also includes site-specific gestures for X and YouTube.

On X, you can move through the timeline, open replies and quotes, and save videos with gestures—without breaking your browsing flow.

More site-specific gestures are planned. Feedback and feature requests are welcome.

Gesture mappings can be customized from the Options page.

2) Compatibility and support policy

Minimum supported Firefox version: Firefox 140.0

Tested on:

• Firefox 147.0 Stable on Windows 11
• Firefox 147.0 Stable on Debian 12 Linux

Recommended:
Use the latest Firefox Stable release.

Note:
Some features may not work on older Firefox versions. Site-specific features may stop working or behave differently if the target website changes its page structure.

3) Permission rationale

<all_urls>:
Required to detect mouse gestures on web pages.

tabs:
Used for tab-related actions such as opening, closing, switching, and navigating between tabs.

sessions:
Used to restore recently closed tabs.

storage:
Used to save gesture mappings, display settings, and other extension preferences.

downloads:
Used for download-related actions, such as saving images or videos.

browserSettings:
Used to align right-click behavior across supported desktop platforms.

4) Privacy

This extension does not collect personal data.

It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, telemetry, or external log uploads.

Gesture settings are stored locally in Firefox.

Network access may occur only when needed for user-initiated features, such as opening links, interacting with the current web page, archiving a page, or resolving media for download.
