What it does

Unload (discard) a tab

Frees the RAM a tab is consuming without closing it. The tab remains in your tab strip and reloads the next time you switch to it. This is useful when you have many tabs open and want to reclaim memory without losing your place.

Firefox cannot discard the tab you are currently viewing, so Keytab automatically switches to the nearest neighbouring tab first, then unloads the original. If it is the only tab in the window, a new blank tab is opened before unloading.

Pin / unpin a tab

Toggles the pinned state of the active tab in a single keystroke.

Both actions are also accessible from the toolbar popup button.

To change the shortcuts: go to about:addons → gear icon → Manage Extension Shortcuts.
