Before you generate a webtoon or a video with AI, sketch the scene you already have in your head.

KontiBoard is a black-and-white storyboard tool that opens right in your browser. Click the toolbar icon and a dedicated tab appears, where you lay out panels, rough in the shots with your mouse, and export a PNG. No account, no uploads.

■ Who it is for
· Creators who want to lock the shot order before generating images or video with AI
· Webtoon artists and producers who need a storyboard fast enough to share today
· Planners assembling shooting boards for ads and YouTube videos
· Anyone who stalls at the storyboard stage because they cannot draw
· Anyone moving from paper thumbnails to something they can revise

■ You do not need to be able to draw
· Figure templates — pick full body, half body, or face, then drag on the canvas and a person appears. Choose a gender (neutral, male, female), a facing (front or back), and an expression (default, happy, sad, angry, surprised). Select a figure you already placed and click another pose or mood, and it changes on the spot.
· Front and back — a back view draws the back of the head and hair instead of a face, for shots where a character faces into the scene or an over-the-shoulder framing.
· Balloon templates — normal, rectangular, thought, shout, and whisper. Pick from the preview thumbnails and drag the tail to point it wherever you like.
· Stroke stabilizer — smooths the wobble out of mouse-drawn lines, adjustable from 0 to 100%.
· Elements panel — figures, balloons, fonts, and stamps sit in their own panel on the right, so you never leave what you are drawing to change them.

■ Working with panels
· Draw a panel — while you drag it snaps to neighbouring panel edges, gutters, the grid, and the page margin. A pink guide shows the moment it locks on, and Alt suspends snapping.
· Panel layouts — presets for 1 panel, 2/3/4 rows, 2×2, 2×3, and 3×3, plus direct entry of how many columns and rows you want.
· Split and merge — split a selected panel horizontally or vertically (Shift+H / Shift+V), or drag across several panels and merge them into one (Shift+M). Artwork clipped inside and per-panel perspective settings follow into the merged panel.
· Draw inside panels only — turn it on and strokes that start inside a panel are clipped cleanly at its border. Move or resize the panel and the clipped area follows.
· Lock panels — on by default, so panels never tag along when you move a drawing. Hold Alt to override it for a moment.
· Moving panels — click the border once to select, then drag anywhere inside the panel to move it. No need to catch the border exactly, and several selected panels move together.

■ Video storyboards
· Panel aspect ratios — 16:9, 2.35:1, 1.85:1, 4:3, 1:1, and 9:16, honoured both when you drag a panel and when you apply a preset. Existing panels can be refitted in one click.
· Cut mode (Shift+C) — blow one panel up to fill the screen and work through the board a shot at a time. A control bar follows right under the cut you are drawing, and ◀ ▶ (Shift+Tab / Tab) move between shots. Press ▶ on the last cut and the next panel is created for you at the same size, adding a page when the current one is full.
· Onion skin — the previous and next cuts show through the current one in faint grey, which makes it easy to match a character's position or eyeline. It is on screen only and never appears in exports.
· Cut PNG — export just the current cut at 2× resolution, ready to use as a video thumbnail or a reference image for AI video generation.
· IN · OUT stamps — mark the first and last frame of a shot when you draw one cut across two panels.

■ Drawing and organising
· Perspective guides — switch on 1-, 2-, or 3-point perspective and drag the vanishing points and horizon into place. Straight lines snap toward the vanishing points, and you can set perspective for the whole page or per panel.
· Reference images — drop in a photo or a rough, lower its opacity, and draw over it. Excluding it from the export is a single click. Drag-and-drop and paste both work.
· Layer panel — its own always-visible column on the right, listing every element on a row of its own with a type icon. Hide or lock any element, group several and fold them away, and find panels collected in their own "Panels" layer group instead of cluttering the list.
· Line colours — the three greyscale tones plus red, orange, green, blue, purple presets and a full colour picker, so direction notes and revision marks stand apart.
· Resize and rotate — everything you draw stays an object, not pixels. Eight handles resize from the opposite corner (Shift keeps the ratio) and the rotation handle turns it, snapping to 90° or 15° with Shift.
· Direction elements — camera-move arrows with adjustable heads, text notes and dialogue in five fonts at any size, plus lines, rectangles, and ellipses.
· Three greyscale tones — black, grey, and light grey for underdrawing, with a stroke width from 1 to 24.

■ Documents and saving
· Page formats — webtoon 3:4, A4 portrait and landscape, video 16:9, and vertical video 9:16, across as many pages as you need.
· Export — save the current page or every page as a 2× PNG, and back the whole project up to a JSON file.
· Autosave — your work is kept in the browser. KontiBoard always opens on a blank page, and the "Restore" button brings back what you were doing.
· Manual included — the "Guide" button in the top bar opens an illustrated manual in a new tab. It works offline.
· Six languages — Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Spanish, chosen automatically from your browser.

■ How to use it
1. Click the KontiBoard icon in the toolbar to open the editor tab.
2. Pick a layout under "Panel layout" or draw the panels yourself.
3. Place figures and balloons from the elements panel, then rough in the rest with the pen.
4. Press "Save PNG". For a video board, use "Cut mode" and work shot by shot.

■ Privacy
KontiBoard collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Your drawings and language setting live only in your own browser (storage.local). The single permission it asks for is "storage" for exactly that; it never requests access to web pages.
