LTF FX Additions provides three independent tab-management tools: choose the tab activated after closing the active tab, open new tabs beside the current tab, and open dragged text, links, or images in a new tab. Each tool can be enabled or disabled separately.

Activate Left Tab on Close

When you close the active tab, focus moves to the tab immediately to its left. If the active tab is already the leftmost tab, Firefox uses the tab to its right instead.

New Tab Next to Current

New tabs open beside the currently active tab rather than at the far end of the tab strip. Background tabs are also placed beside the current tab, with the most recently opened background tab kept closest to it.

Super Drag

Drag selected text, a link, or an image, then release it to open a new tab. Dragged text is searched using DuckDuckGo, Google, Bing, Brave Search, Ecosia, Startpage, or a custom search URL using %s as the query placeholder. Links and images open their source URLs.

• Set dragged text, links, and images independently to open in the foreground or background.
• Choose whether Super Drag tabs open to the left, right, first, or last position in the current window.
• Disable Super Drag on specified sites with one wildcard rule per line.
• Press Esc or right-click during a drag to cancel it.
