M3U8 Detector is a lightweight, high-performance browser extension (Manifest V3) that automatically detects HLS (.m3u8) media streams and direct video files (MP4, WebM, MKV) on any website you visit.
Key Features:
- 🚀 Automatic Stream Detection: Sniffs HLS master/media playlists (.m3u8) and embedded video requests in real-time as you browse.
- 🛡 Local IP-Lock Resolution: Resolves playlist segments directly inside the browser background Service Worker using your local session and cookies, bypassing IP-locked 403 Forbidden playlist tokens.
- ⚡ Obfuscated Segment Handling: Built-in support for disguised CDN video chunks (such as PNG-wrapped media segments from TikTok CDN and others).
- 📌 Stream Pinning & Management: Pin favorite streams across tab navigations, inspect segment counts, copy URLs or session cookies with a single click.
- 🎨 Modern Theme-Aware UI: Clean floating sidebar panel built with Shadow DOM isolation so extension styles never interfere with host web pages.
- 💾 Easy One-Click Export: Save detected stream manifests as structured JSON files for fast batch downloading with Google Colab or local scripts.
