When audit features are used, request data required for PageSpeed analysis (for example URL and selected strategy) is sent to:
- Your configured Metricly proxy endpoint (for example Cloudflare Worker)
That proxy requests data from Google PageSpeed Insights API (
https://www.googleapis.com/) and returns the response to the extension.Metricly does not transmit browsing data to third parties except what is strictly required to execute the user-requested audit flow.
6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Metricly stores settings and cached audit state in local extension storage (browser-provided extension storage and local browser storage used by the extension).
Data is retained until one of the following occurs:
- You clear browser/extension storage
- Cached entries are overwritten or removed by the extension
- You uninstall the extension
7. Extension Permissions
Metricly requests permissions strictly for extension functionality:
activeTab— access the active tab after user interactiontabs— identify active tab context for audit workflowsstorage— persist user settings and cache- Host permissions (configured proxy host, plus local development hosts) — request audit data from your configured proxy endpoint
For Firefox listing metadata, Metricly declares no required data collection categories (
required: ["none"]).8. Security and Remote Code
