Mixider is a free, ad-free companion for two things: building your Mixider pool as you browse, and shaping the audio of whatever tab you're listening to.

Save as you browse — the Pool tab See something worth keeping? While you're on YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Bandcamp or Vimeo, Mixider adds a one-click "Add to Pool" button right on the page. Saved tracks and videos land in your Mixider pool, ready to drop into a playlist later on mixider.com — no copy-pasting links, no switching tabs. Signed in to Mixider already? It just works, using your existing session.

Shape any tab's sound — the Mix tab Mixider also adds live audio effects to any browser tab — not just the 5 platforms above, whatever you're listening to. Turn on Mix and shape the sound with:

• Equalizer — low / mid / high band control
• Auto Filter — a modulating filter for movement and texture
• Reverb — wet level, decay and pre-delay
• Volume — an independent fader for the tab, separate from the OS/site volume


Each effect can be bypassed individually, and everything resets to a clean default with one click. A small purple indicator — on the toolbar icon and in the popup — always shows when Mix is active and on which tab, so it's never a mystery why a tab suddenly sounds different.

About permissions Mixider asks for a few permissions up front so both features work smoothly the moment you need them, rather than prompting mid-action:

• Tab audio capture — required for the Mix tab's equalizer/auto-filter/reverb/volume to process a tab's sound in real time. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, transmitted or stored anywhere.
• Storage — remembers your Mix effect settings and pool preferences locally, so they're still there next time you open the popup.
• Tabs / notifications — used to open your Mixider pool, show a confirmation when something is saved, and let the "Add to Pool" keyboard shortcut work on whichever tab is active.
• mixider.com access — lets the extension talk to the Mixider API using your existing mixider.com sign-in, so the Pool tab doesn't need a separate login.


Nothing is collected or shared beyond what's needed to save items to your own Mixider pool, and that only ever happens when you explicitly click "Add to Pool" or the equivalent shortcut.
