- 评分 5 / 5来自 TheTopMostDog， 9 年前Great little plugin to replace the background colour with something dark (I prefer my new tabs blank). I note the urlbar having stuff in it when opening a new tab is something out of the hands of the dev, however - and honestly, this is my only gripe - it will still be causing me to disable the plugin until it is resolved because of the impact it has on my experience of browsing (this is adding an extra to every that I make).

Yes, the url bar behaviour is annoying. I have to wait until Mozilla provide a way to clear the address bar or, at least, to select the full url, at the moment it's not possible. :( - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13230028， 9 年前Thank you for changing Speed Dial. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13321985， 9 年前I've been using New Tab Override for months now and can't imagine working without it. My online workflow is faster and smoother. I'm definitely throwing the developer a few bucks — god bless the lot of them for their good efforts and intentions.

发布于 9 年前Thank you for your review. The history permission is needed since version 9.0 for better functionality / parity with the legacy add-on. I added a new paragraph to the add-on description:
"New Tab Override needs the permissions to access your tabs and your history. Why does New Tab Override need access to your history? It's needed to prevent spammy "moz-extension://" entries in your browsing history every time you open a new tab. - Have used this add on for ages and find it the most helpful add on I have for Firefox. Unfortunately the latest FF55 destroyed it for my new tabs. It works fine for my Home page so now for each new tab I have to then click on the Home button to see my selections. Works for me but a bit cumbersome. Found no solutions that worked to rectify this in Google.
