Noya is a local-first Firefox extension for the X bookmarks you already saved. It quietly mirrors them onto this device, then gives you a calm place to read, tag, finish, and export — without living in the feed, and without re-saving anything into a second app list.

You stay signed in to X in this Firefox profile. Noya never asks for your password. Core reading needs no Noya account.

WHAT YOU GET (FREE)

• Today’s read — every New Tab can show one open bookmark in focus. Turn New Tab off anytime in Settings and open Noya from the toolbar icon instead.

• List + tags — browse everything mirrored on this device. Add unlimited manual tags and filter by one tag at a time. Search and sort when the pile grows.

• Calm Reader — open the thread and media you bookmarked. Highlight by selecting text. Mark Done when finished so that save leaves recommendations and does not quietly return.

• Export — download images and video from a save, or download a portable zip of that post (markdown + media) for your own files.

• Full backup — export or import all local data as JSON from Settings.

• Optional chrome — show the browser bookmarks bar on New Tab (optional permission), shuffle the reading pool, or run a paced full archive mirror of large bookmark piles.

• Open on X — jump back to the original post. Unbookmark on X is a separate, optional action — Done never removes the X bookmark for you.

• On X itself — open a post in Noya from the timeline when the extension is installed (including a temporary reader when the post is not yet in your mirrored pile).

• Ask Grok from New Tab — optional query field to send free text (and images) to Grok. Turn the field off in Settings.

• Reading appearance — paper themes, text size, width, and line spacing for the surfaces you read on.

• Languages — extension chrome in English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, German, French, and Spanish. Listing remains English-first.
