Pay-with-Time helps you understand online prices in terms of your own working time.
Instead of only seeing a price like €199, the extension shows you how many hours, workdays, or weeks you need to work to afford it.
You can enter your hourly wage, weekly income, or monthly salary. Pay-with-Time detects the current price on supported product pages and calculates how much working time the product costs you.
Features:
• Show product prices as working time
• Detect sale prices instead of the original price
• Convert hours into workdays, weeks, months, and years
• Automatic and manual currency conversion, for example EUR → JPY or EUR → CHF
• Green, blue, or red rating based on your income
• Purchase check before the final order or payment button
• Quick 5-second check to help avoid impulse purchases
• Warnings for pressure messages like “Only 2 left”
• Local price history for products you visited
• Statistics about avoided impulse purchases and money you may have saved
• Main switch to fully turn off the extension
Privacy: Your income data, price history, and purchase statistics are stored locally in Firefox. There are no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. For currency conversion, only the needed currency codes are sent to an exchange-rate service.
