PD Signer Bridge connects Microsoft Edge to the locally installed PD Signer desktop application. It enables users to digitally sign PDF, XML, and JSON documents using certificates stored on supported smart cards or USB tokens.
Users can select a local document from the extension popup, choose a certificate, signature standard, and signature profile, then download the signed result. The extension also adds signing actions beside supported document links and to the browser context menu.
PD Signer Bridge displays the desktop application's connection status, provides notifications about signing and connection errors, and stores user preferences such as language, default signature standard, default signature profile, and web application URL. Document signing is performed through the local PD Signer application.
