RDM — Rust Download Manager
RDM is a lightweight, fast download manager. It splits each file into multiple simultaneous connections to increase speed, resumes interrupted downloads, and automatically adapts to network and server conditions.
This extension connects Firefox to RDM:
it intercepts downloads before the browser starts them, avoiding partially downloaded files;
it detects videos on web pages (HLS streams, YouTube) and lets you choose the quality;
it sends links to RDM via a right-click → "Download with RDM".
RDM asks for confirmation before starting a download initiated from the browser. It offers VirusTotal scanning, download queues, a speed limiter, and proxy support, and supports 16 languages with automatic detection.
No telemetry: the extension communicates only with RDM installed on your computer (local address 127.0.0.1) and sends no data elsewhere.
