Open Reddit content in the Arctic Shift Photon archive and make Reddit-hosted images easier to use.

Reddit archive actions

• Open Post in Photon maps the current Reddit post or comment to Photon's ID lookup.
• On a subreddit, it opens an archived post search for that community.
• On a Reddit profile, either action opens that user's 100 newest archived posts.
• Open OP's Posts finds the current post's original poster and opens a Photon POSTS search with a limit of 100 and newest results first.

Reddit image tools

• On a direct Reddit-hosted image, Open Original Post uses Photon's exact-URL archive search to find the earliest matching Reddit post.
• Open Reddit images as raw images bypasses Reddit media wrappers and common preview pages. This setting is enabled by default and can be turned off from the gear below the action buttons.
• Image handling is limited to Reddit's media route and explicit Reddit image hosts.

Privacy and permissions

• The active Reddit tab is read only after you open the extension popup.
• Pressing Open Original Post sends only the current Reddit-hosted image URL to Arctic Shift Photon so it can find the matching post. No lookup happens merely by opening the popup.
• Raw-image handling runs locally in Firefox.
• There is no developer-operated server, analytics, telemetry, advertising, account, remote code, or third-party library.
• The extension does not request access to all websites, general browsing history, cookies, bookmarks, downloads, the clipboard, or persistent tab access.

Works on Firefox desktop and Firefox for Android where the required WebExtension APIs are supported.
