关于此扩展
Resonant Fossil is a self-contained sonic-arts instrument that treats a sound file as material to excavate. It is designed for sound artists, composers, installation makers, experimental musicians, and curious listeners who want to reshape audio without uploading it to a service.
Import a local audio file and the instrument decodes a bounded mono working copy in memory. It measures duration, RMS, peak amplitude, DC offset, dynamic range, a windowed amplitude envelope, zero-crossing behavior, transient events, a coarse logarithmic spectrum, and spectral centroid. Those measurements produce a collection of named strata with source positions, grain values, pitch relationships, gains, filters, and seeded spatial coordinates.
The Orbital Chamber places every stratum in a two-dimensional sound field. Move the selected fossil by clicking the chamber; change its grain, pitch, band-pass filter, or orbital velocity; or scatter the complete field with a new deterministic layout seed. Scheduled resonances illuminate as the project plays through Web Audio.
Two additional readings expose the same real project state. Spectral Strata visualizes the analyzed source spectrum. Event Density overlays scheduled material against the source envelope so dense or sparse passages remain legible. The event sediment, source metrics, wave imprint, and spectral panel all derive from the currently loaded specimen.
Seal Vault stores the working signal, analysis, spatial materials, event schedule, and title in IndexedDB within the current profile. Render WAV uses OfflineAudioContext, local filters, gain, stereo panning, and a packaged PCM encoder to create a stereo 16-bit WAV file without playing the piece in real time or contacting a server.
Included capabilities:
• local audio import with a 40 MB file limit and a three-minute analysis bound;
• envelope, RMS, peak, dynamic-range, transient, zero-crossing, spectrum, and centroid analysis;
• transient-aware material excavation;
• seeded two-dimensional spatial layout and animated orbits;
• per-material grain, pitch, filter, and orbit controls;
• scheduled Web Audio playback with stereo placement;
• spectral, orbital, and event-density views;
• local IndexedDB vault save and restore;
• stereo offline WAV rendering;
• a synthetic bundled sound specimen and composed event field.
Resonant Fossil never requests microphone access. It does not upload sound, read webpages, use remote synthesis, or contact analytics providers.
