关于此扩展
Your bookmarks, as a read-it-later library. No account, no cloud.
Pocket Bookmarks turns the bookmarks you already have into a proper read-it-later app. Saved links, folders and reading status are real browser bookmarks, so they sync through the browser account you already use — Chrome Sync, Edge Sync or Firefox Sync — with no account to create here, no server holding your data, and nothing to lose if this extension disappears tomorrow.
SAVE
• Save the current page as a bookmark, to Read Later, or both — from the toolbar button, the right-click menu, or Alt+Shift+S.
• Pick the folder, add tags and a note, and get a duplicate check (skip, update, or save a copy) before anything is written.
• Save all open tabs at once, skipping duplicates and browser pages. Bring them back later: right-click any folder and choose Open all in new tabs, or open a selection.
READ
• Reader mode strips a page down to its readable text and images and stores a copy on your device, so you can read it offline later.
• Clean typography, light, sepia and dark themes, adjustable text size, and reading progress that picks up where you left off.
• Highlight in four colours, attach notes to highlights, and export them as Markdown.
• Tick "Keep a copy of this page" and the page itself is stored on your device too — a screenshot and a self-contained copy with its images — for the day the site is gone.
ORGANISE
• A full-page, three-pane manager: folders on the left, your library as a list or grid, details on the right.
• Drag and drop everything — bookmarks into folders, folders into folders, reorder, multi-select.
• Inbox → Reading → Archive is just folder placement, so it works in any browser's bookmark manager too. Favourites are a flag, not a move.
• Sort any folder by newest, oldest, title or domain — or keep your own order.
• Put a folder in order for good: the same sort, written into the browser's own bookmarks (the folders inside it too, if you like), so the browser's menu, your other devices and an export show it. It tells you how much it will move before it moves anything, and undo puts the old order back.
• Work the list from the keyboard: arrows move through the rows, Shift extends the selection, Space adds a row, and Alt with an arrow — or Home and End — moves the rows you picked, without a single drag.
• Split view: a second pane beside the first, each on its own folder, like a two-pane file manager — drag bookmarks across, or send the selection over with one key, and see both folders while you tidy.
• Add tags to a whole selection at once; rename, merge or remove a tag everywhere. Write #hashtags in a note and they become tags; #tag in the search box finds them. Save any search as a smart folder in the sidebar.
• Auto-tagging, worked out on your device: new saves get the site's name, the page's own keywords and any tag you already use that appears in the title, shown as #tags you can prune before saving. One switch turns it off.
• Find pages you saved twice, pick which copy stays, and remove the extras without losing a tag or a note. Remove empty folders, nested ones included, after seeing their names. If another device built its own Read Later folder before sync caught up, one click folds it into this one — nothing deleted but the empty folders.
• Every action is undoable: moves, renames, deletes, archives, imports, bulk operations. Cmd/Ctrl+Z or the undo toast.
FIND
• Full-text search across titles, URLs, folders, tags, notes, highlights and the text of saved articles — all local, all instant.
• Filters: domain:, tag:, folder:, status:. A Cmd/Ctrl+K command palette.
• Type "pb" and a space in the address bar to search your library from there.
MOVE IN, MOVE OUT
• The bookmarks you already have, in one click: the ones the library lacks are copied in with their folders; the originals stay exactly where they are.
• Import from Pocket, Instapaper or Raindrop (CSV), browser bookmark HTML files, generic CSV or a Pocket Bookmarks backup.
• Export as a JSON backup, CSV, Markdown, or bookmarks HTML. Your data is never locked in.
• Automatic backups: a full backup file lands in your Downloads folder weekly (or daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly — or never); the last five are kept.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
• No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no telemetry, no remote code.
• Your bookmarks stay in your browser's bookmark store. Tags, notes, highlights and the offline reader cache stay in local storage on your device and are never uploaded by this extension.
• The extension requests no access to websites. Reading an article's text for offline use happens only when you click Save with reader mode, on the page you are looking at, and only if you approve the one-time permission prompt. Decline it and saving still works — you just won't get the offline copy.
• Apart from a page you save fetching its own images for the offline copy, one optional feature makes network requests, and it is off unless you turn it on: a daily check that asks each saved site's server whether it still answers (one HTTPS request, no cookies), so you can see which of your saved pages have gone dark. Each site learns only that it was asked; nothing else about your library is sent anywhere.

Also: a compact sidebar, keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+S to save, Alt+Shift+M to open the manager), reading statistics, light and dark themes.
