Learn Japanese while reading web visual novels.
RouteVN Web Extractor adds popup dictionary lookups and vocabulary mining to supported Ren’Py Web and TyranoScript games on itch.io and novelgame.jp.
• Look up words as you read, with readings and dictionary definitions.
• Review captured dialogue in the side panel.
• Save vocabulary and sentence context to Anki.
• Choose from available dictionaries for Japanese and English reading.
• Use installed dictionaries for local lookups.
DICTIONARY CREDITS
Uses JMdict and included JMnedict material by Jim Breen and the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group (https://www.edrdg.org/edrdg/licence.html), and Wiktionary text by its contributors via Kaikki/Wiktextract and wty. Dictionary text and our reformatted definitions are provided under CC BY-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/). Source credits and documentation are available in Settings → Dictionary sources and licenses.
