ScoopChk Checker is a browser extension for quickly checking the credibility of news, articles, and any other text right in your browser.

How it works:
1. Select text on any webpage.
2. Right-click → "Check with ScoopChk."
3. An overlay appears right on the page with a credibility score (0–100), a verdict (Genuine / Disputed / False), and a breakdown across five metrics: factual accuracy, source reliability, context completeness, emotional manipulation, and language quality.

A manual-check mode is also available: open the extension icon in the toolbar, paste in any text, and get the same analysis.

- Configurable API server address (for anyone running a self-hosted ScoopChk instance)

The extension sends the selected or manually entered text to a ScoopChk server (scoopchk.com by default) for analysis. The server address can be changed in the extension's settings.
