Screenshot Steps is local by default. It may handle screenshots, page URLs/titles, capture timestamps, click locations, step numbers, and optional integration credentials while you use the extension.

Screenshots, guides, annotations, settings, and credentials are stored locally in Firefox extension storage. The extension does not sell, rent, track, advertise with, or share user data for profiling or resale.

Data only leaves the browser when the user intentionally exports, downloads, copies, shares, or uses an enabled integration such as Notion, GitHub, Slack, or Atlassian/Confluence. The extension does not use AI processing. Data remains in the browser until the user deletes it, clears extension storage, or uninstalls the extension.
