What It Does Every time you search online, certain websites keep showing up even though you never find them useful — low-quality content farms, spam sites, or just domains you personally dislike. Search Hit Hider lets you block those domains once and never see them again. When a blocked result appears, it's silently hidden and replaced by a small "hidden" notice (optional) with the option to show it once or unblock it permanently.

Key Features

One-click blocking — click the block button next to any result to hide that domain forever.
Instant hiding — results are hidden before the page finishes loading, with zero visible flicker.
7 search engines — Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yandex, Baidu, Brave Search, Startpage.
Wildcard subdomain matching — blocking example.com also hides blog.example.com, shop.example.com, etc.
Perma-ban mode — silently remove results with no notice placeholder at all.
Show Once — temporarily reveal a hidden result without unblocking it permanently.
Undo support — made a mistake? Undo the last block instantly from the popup.
Popup management — view, enable/disable, or remove blocked domains.
Import / Export — JSON backups, plain domain lists, and compatibility with the original Google Hit Hider by Domain userscript format.

Configurable trigger threshold, max pages, and scroll-position persistence
Duplicate results across pages are detected and removed automatically
Old pages above the viewport are discarded to keep memory lean

Privacy Search Hit Hider collects no data. Your block list lives in your browser's local storage and is never sent anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry. Favicon images on auto-loaded results come only from the search engine's own icon service — never from third parties.
