SEORCE Firefox Extension - Privacy Policy

WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES

SEORCE analyses the web page you are viewing when you ask it to, and shows you
SEO and AI-visibility findings.

WHAT WE READ, AND WHEN

The extension reads the content of a page only when you click the analyse
button. It does not run in the background, does not read pages you have not
asked it to audit, and does not monitor your browsing.

Page content is analysed inside your browser. The text, images, links and
markup of the page are not transmitted to us.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR BROWSER

Two things:

1. The URL of the page you asked us to audit. We send this to our own service
   at ext.seorce.ai so that it can fetch that page's robots.txt, llms.txt,
   sitemap and raw HTML, checks that cannot be performed from inside the
   browser. We cache the result for six hours and log the domain.
2. Anonymous usage events, such as "an audit was run" or "a report was opened".
   These are tied to a random identifier generated on installation, not to any
   account, name or email address. You can turn these off in the extension's
   settings.

WHAT WE STORE ON YOUR DEVICE

Your settings, the random installation identifier, a six-hour cache of
site-level data, your most recent audit so the full report can be displayed,
and a local list of recently audited URLs. All of it is removed when you
uninstall the extension.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We do not sell data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do
not build a profile of you. We do not use the data for anything unrelated to
running the extension. We do not use it to assess creditworthiness or for
lending.

THIRD PARTIES

The "Ask AI" action opens ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Copilot in a new tab
with the audit report as the prompt. The "Search tools" section opens services
such as PageSpeed Insights, the W3C validator and the Wayback Machine with the
URL you audited. Nothing is sent to any of these until you click, and from that
point the data is handled under that service's own privacy policy.
