ShipKSA Checkout Extension Privacy Policy

Overview:
The ShipKSA Checkout browser extension helps users continue checkout from supported Saudi online stores through ShipKSA services. This extension is designed with privacy and minimal data collection in mind.

Information We Collect:
The extension only collects information necessary to transfer shopping cart contents to ShipKSA after the user explicitly activates the extension.

Collected information may include: Product names, Product prices, Product quantities, Product images, Store name, Cart subtotal, Store URL, Cart page URL, and Session identifier generated by the extension.

The extension does NOT collect: Passwords, Credit card or payment information, Banking information, Browser history, Cookies, Authentication tokens, Personal messages or emails, Keystrokes, or Background browsing activity. The extension only operates when the user manually clicks the extension button.

How Information Is Used:
- Collected cart information is securely transmitted to ShipKSA services
- Generate a ShipKSA checkout session cart
- Allow users to continue their purchase through the ShipKSA website

ShipKSA does not sell collected cart data to third parties.

Data may be processed using trusted infrastructure providers such as: Google Firebase and Google Cloud Platform. These providers process data solely for service operation purposes.

Data Retention:
Cart session data may be temporarily stored to allow users to access their ShipKSA checkout session.
Data is retained only as long as necessary for operational and support purposes.

Permissions Used:
The extension uses the following browser permissions:
activeTab — to access the currently open shopping cart page after user interaction
scripting — to extract visible cart information from supported stores
storage — to store local extension settings and session identifiers
The extension does not monitor browsing activity outside supported cart pages.

Supported Websites:
The extension operates on supported e-commerce websites and only after user interaction by clicking the checkout button.

Security:
ShipKSA takes reasonable measures to protect transmitted information using secure HTTPS connections and controlled infrastructure services.

Changes to This Policy:
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Updated versions will be published on the official ShipKSA website.
