Site Watch Dog ("the Extension") is a browser extension that tracks time spent on websites. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect

The anonymous user identifier is a randomly generated UUID created on your device. It is not linked to your name, email address, Google account, or any personally identifiable information.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your browsing history
We do not collect the URLs you visit
We do not collect personally identifiable information
We do not collect your IP address for tracking purposes
We do not collect any data for advertising


1. Third-Party Services
   Dodo Payments (Payment Processing)

If you choose to upgrade to Premium, you are redirected to Dodo Payments' hosted checkout page. Dodo Payments collects your payment details directly. We never see or store your credit card information.

Our API Server

Our server (api.sitewatchdog.co.za) only receives your anonymous UUID to check subscription status. It does not log browsing data or any other personal information.
4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. Your browsing data never leaves your device.
5. Data Retention

Local browsing data: Automatically deleted after 30 days
Anonymous user ID: Stored locally on your device indefinitely (you can clear it by uninstalling the extension)
Server-side subscription records: Retained as long as your subscription is active. Deleted within 90 days of subscription cancellation.


1. Your Rights

You can at any time:

View your data by opening the extension popup
Delete today's data using the "Reset Today" button
Delete all data by uninstalling the extension (all local storage is removed)
Cancel your subscription through the "Manage Subscription" button in the extension

   All communication with our server uses HTTPS encryption
   Your API key is stored securely in the browser's local storage
   No data is transmitted in plain text
3. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
